New Delhi : The French President had a telephonic conversation with his counterparts from Russia and the US – Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.

Emmanuel Macron had proposed a summit between the US and Russia to discuss the ongoing Ukraine crisis; his offer of summit has been accepted.



Jen Psaki's statement read that her nation is always up for diplomacy until and invasion has happened. She notified that Mr Biden accepted in principal a meeting with President Putin if an invasion hasn't happened.

She also mentioned in the note that currently, Russia appears to be getting prepared for a full-scale assault on Ukraine very soon.

Recently, France had asked its officials to leave Ukraine at earliest and also asked people to postpone their trips to the nation till further notice.
