Donald Trump's counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka resigns

Washington : The United States of America President Donald Trump's counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka submitted his resignation citing reasons that he will not be having any meaningful role in the coming days.

Mr Gorka submitted his resignation to retired Gen. John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, on Friday. Two administration officials informed CNN about the same.

Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, resigned a week after Bannon left the administration to return to Breitbart.

He is famous for lauding Donald Trump at almost all possible situations.

Gorka's work for Trump goes back as far as 2015; Federal Election Commission filings showed that Gorka was paid $8,000 that October to be a policy consultant for the Trump campaign.
