Dr. K. A. Paul concerns possible Republican loss of house, urges Trump to Act on Iran peace proposal ahead of U.S. Midterm Elections

New Delhi : Dr. K. A. Paul has expressed deep concern over the possibility of Republicans losing control of the House of Representatives in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. He urged President Donald Trump to act on his 15-point peace proposal for Iran, which he presented to the President on March 16, warning that the failure to pursue peace could have serious political consequences.

“It is heartbreaking to see that my good friend, Speaker Mike Johnson, may lose the House because President Trump has not yet accepted and implemented my 15-point peace proposal for Iran. Speaker Johnson has conveyed the proposal on several occasions, but unfortunately, it has not moved forward,” Dr. Paul said.

Referring to his September 23 address at the Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C., in the presence of Speaker Johnson, Dr. Paul recalled that he had warned of serious consequences if his two key proposals were not implemented. One of these proposals called for ending the war. He also pointed out that his proposed campaign of 31 rallies across 31 swing states was never carried out, despite several Global Peace Summits being organised in Dallas, Washington, D.C., and New York.

Dr. Paul believes that the failure to implement these proposals and conduct the planned rallies could significantly affect the Republican Party's prospects in the midterm elections and put Speaker Johnson's position at risk.

He also expressed strong support for Speaker Mike Johnson, describing him as the best potential presidential candidate for the Republican Party, ahead of J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio. “Speaker Mike Johnson is the cleanest politician I have ever met in the USA,” he said.

Dr. Paul reiterated his appeal to President Trump to recognise the urgency of the situation, take his peace proposal seriously and initiate the necessary steps to end the war. He stressed that pursuing peace at this critical moment is important not only for the region but also for the political future of the Republican Party.
