Moderate intensity earthquake jolts Pakistan along Indo-Pak border

New Delhi : Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan near LoC, nature is taking tough calls too. A moderate intensity earthquake on Saturday jolted Pakistan near Indo-Pak border.

An earthquake of  5.5 magnitude intensity struck Pakistan on Saturday, its epicenter was in Hindu kush mountains.

The quake shook capital Islamabad, parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in the northwest and some northern area of Punjab.

# A 5.5 magnitude intensity earthquake struck Pakistan on Saturday.

# The quake was also felt in Pakistan capital Islamabad, parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in the northwest and some northern area of Punjab. 

# According to USGS, epicenter was 117 km east of the Swat Valley city of Mingaora, at a depth of 43.4 km.

# No immediate reports of damage or loss of life came from Pakistan.

# Pakistan regularly faces tremors but most of them are not lethal. 

# However, in 2005 a massive quake had killed more than 80,000 people.
