Nawaz Sharif backs Burhan Wani at UN, confirms Pakistan involvement in terrorism

Washington : Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday raised Kashmir issue and hailed Burhan Wani at United Nations General Assembly. 

In his 20-minutes speech, he blamed India for imposing unacceptable conditions before holding peace talks over Kashmir. 

Nawaz Sharif also dubbed Burhan Wani, who was killed by Indian Forces on July 8, as a leader of "Kashmiri intifada".

Major part of his speech was dedicated to Kashmir and India, where he claimed that peace talks are no favour on Pakistan; instead it is a matter mutual interest to ensure calm in the valley.

"Talks are no favour to Pakistan. They are in the interest of both and essential to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and avoid escalation," he said.
