Osama Bin Laden's head first destroyed then put together for identification: Ex-Navy SEAL

New Delhi : Killing of Osama Bin Laden is still a matter with many versions. An ex-Navy SEAL, who claims to have killed the terrorist leader, now says that the al-Qaeda chief’s head was in such a bad shape that it was put together for identification.

Robert O’Neill, an ex-Navy SEAL shooter, has claimed that he alone fired nothing less than three bullets in Osama, the mastermind behind 9/11 attacks in America.

The latest claims have been made in a recently launched book - ‘The Operator: Firing the Shots that Killed Bin Laden’.

In his claims he mentions, "In less than a second, I aimed above the woman’s right shoulder and pulled the trigger twice.

"Bin Laden’s head split open, and he dropped. I put another bullet in his head. Insurance."

O’Neill’s book comes five years after No Easy Day, fellow SEAL Mark Bissonnette’s account of the operation.
