Philippines military plane with 85 people on-board crashes

New Delhi : A military plane with at least 85 people on board crashed in the southern Philippines on Sunday, the armed forces chief said. 

According to an AFP report, 15 people have been rescued so far from the burning wreckage of the C-130, which crashed as it tried to land on Jolo island in Sulu province, General Cirilito Sobejana told.



"Responders are at the site now, we are praying we can save more lives," Sobejana said.

The reason behind the crash of the plane is not known yet.
