PM Narendra Modi awarded with Seoul Peace Prize in South Korea

Seoul : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 during his visit to South Korea. He received the prestigious award for his contribution to international cooperation and fostering global economic growth.

A short film on the life and achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also screened during the event.

PM Modi became the 14th recipient of the award and the past laureates included former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and renowned international relief organizations like Doctors Without Borders and Oxfam.

“This award does not belong to me personally but to the people of India, the success India has achieved in the last 5 years, powered by the skill of 1.3 billion people. On their behalf, I accept the Award and express my gratitude,” said PM Modi, after receiving the award.

PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to the South Korea.
