The US changes India's travel ratings from 'high-risk' to 'low-risk'

New Delhi : The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has changed India's ratings from high-risk to low-risk after the coronavirus cases in the tri-colour nation were on the lower side.

CDC has issued a "Level 1 travel health notice" for India, making it the nation with lowest coronavirus risk to travel.

About traveling to India, the CDC (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/covid-1/coronavirus-india) site mentioned following points:

# Make sure you are vaccinated and up-to-date with your Covid-19 vaccines before traveling to India.

# Even if you are up-to-date with your Covid-19 vaccines, you may still be at risk for getting and spreading Covid-19.

# Anyone 2 years or older should properly wear a well fitting mask in indoor public spaces.

# Follow all requirements and recommendations in India.

CDC has segregated five levels of travel ratings based upon the high level or low level risks.
