"Totally unacceptable:" Donald Trump rejects Iran’s peace offer
New Delhi : The US President Donald Trump has rejected latest proposal from Iran to end the over two-month-long war in the Middle East. He said that the offer made by so-called representatives of Iran is "totally unacceptable". With this chances of rising conflict after weeks of negotiations have increased.
Like earlier, Donald Trump again repeated and claimed that Iran is already militarily defeated; explaining that the nuclear program by Iran, primarily for which the whole war was initiated, has been contained.
However, he did not mention about the details from the counter proposal provided from Iran, but announced his rejection over it on the social media platform Truth.
"I have just read the response from Iran's so-called 'Representatives.' I don't like it -- TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!" he said on the social media.
Meanwhile, it has been learned that the US is also keeping a close eye over the uranium rich stock of Iran and they would know if anyone tries to take it without the consent.
Referring to American surveillance capabilities, Trump said that Washington would know if anyone went near the enriched uranium. "If somebody walked in, they (Space Force) can tell you his name, address, his badge number," Trump said.
Iran responds
As per media reports, it has been learned that Iran has responded aggressively to the claim and said that they will take all possible retaliatory action against the US strikes and will ensure no permits for foreign warships at the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian state television reported that Tehran has also rejected the American counterproposal as amounting to surrender, insisting instead on "war reparations by the US, full Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, an end to sanctions, and the release of seized Iranian assets."
