US to put more sanctions on North Korea, says US President Donald Trump

Washington : US President Donald Trump on Thursday said that the US would impose more sanctions on North Korea. Before his meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York, Trump told reporters that his administration will put "more sanctions" on North Korea, Xinhua reported.

North Korea confirmed that it conducted another medium-range ballistic missile test last Friday.

The missile launch, which violates UN Security Council resolutions, came just days after the council imposed fresh sanctions on Pyongyang over its nuclear test on September 3.
