World's largest uncut diamond Lesedi La Rona

London : World's largest rough diamond has been sold to a London buyer for whopping $53 million. Laurence Graff acquired the rare gem that comes in a size of tennis ball after successful negotiation with the Lucara Diamond Corp. 

The Lesedi La Rona, weighing a record-breaking 1,109 carats, was put up for auction last year, but failed to reach its reserve price. Here are five pictures of the diamond that shows how amazing it looks:

A spokesperson at Graff said: "Discovered at the Lucara Karowe mine in north-central Botswana, the hypnotic Lesedi La Rona is the largest gem quality rough diamond discovered in over 100 years."
