Delhi : Retro seems to be the current way that people are riding motorcycles; Yamaha just unveiled the XSR900 GP, which brings back memories of the race bikes of the 1980s, while Kawasaki recently reinstated its 40th edition livery in its Ninja line. Here is all the information you need to know about the 2024 Yamaha XSR900 GP, which is currently available for purchase in foreign countries.

The layout and system of Yamaha XSR900 GP

The XSR900 GP has a Deltabox-style chassis, which was originally introduced in the 1980s, as a nod to the legendary YZR500 racing cars. According to Yamaha, the chassis is set up to support a sporty stance while also improving handling and front-end feel.

The motorbike has a unique fairing with a beautifully integrated headlamp that is reminiscent of the race bikes from the 1980s, and the seat is also influenced by those vintage bikes. A detachable seat cover is included with the XSR900 GP. All things considered, the motorcycle's partial fairing accentuates the vintage vibe of the XSR900 GP.

Electronics and features of Yamaha XSR900 GP

The interior of the XSR900 GP is completely contemporary, despite its classic exterior. The motorbike has freshly designed footrests, LED lighting, a TFT display, fully adjustable KYB shocks at both ends, 17-inch front and rear wheels, and disc brakes at both ends.

The XSR900 GP's electronics feature ABS on both ends, cruise control, a quickshifter, and a 6-axis IMU that is taken from the Yamaha R1 and has four riding modes (Street, Rain, Sport, and Custom) as well as lean-sensitive traction control, slide control, and front wheel lift control.

Engine details of Yamaha XSR900 GP

An 890cc three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox powers the 2024 Yamaha XSR900 GP. Its output is 117 horsepower and 93 Nm of torque. Although Yamaha has not disclosed information like acceleration or peak speed, the bike should resemble the 2023 XSR900. For the XSR900 GP, Yamaha also provides a wide range of aftermarket accessories, such as a complete system exhaust.

The new Yamaha XSR900 GP will be on sale in foreign countries in 2024, but it's unlikely that the motorbike will make it to India because Yamaha plans to introduce other models, such the R3 and the MT-09, here first.
