Delhi : Due to poor demand, Bajaj has formally cancelled the Pulsar N160's single-channel ABS model. This change has been in place for a few months, as confirmed by trustworthy dealer sources, and the bike is currently the only one having dual-channel ABS as standard equipment.

Context and Costs of Bajaj Pulsar N160

Two versions of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 were released last year: a single-channel ABS version priced at Rs 1,22,854 and a dual-channel ABS version priced at Rs 1,27,853 (ex-showroom), which was somewhat more expensive. There was a small price difference of Rs 5000 between the two models. Notwithstanding this minuscule difference, riders who prioritized safety chose the dual-channel ABS model in large numbers.

Prioritizing safety of Bajaj Pulsar N160

As things stand in the motorcycle industry today, riders' safety is the top priority. Due to the small price difference and the significant safety improvement provided by dual-channel ABS, the consumer choice was evident. Dealer sources claim that the single-channel variant's demise was due to a lack of demand.

Market Position and Performance of Bajaj Pulsar N160

The Pulsar N160 is propelled by a powerful 164.82cc single-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine that produces 16PS and 14.65Nm. The Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the N160 share the same base, and the N160's characteristics, body style, and available colours are comparable. The Pulsar N160 competes against competitors in the competitive 150-160cc class, including the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, and Suzuki Gixxer.
