Delhi : Pune-based bike manufacturer Bajaj is renowned for using resources sparingly by combining and matching parts from various bikes to create new products. The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is scheduled to go on sale very soon this time. Online images of the motorcycle at dealerships give rise to speculation about a possible introduction this month.

The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is mostly based on the Bajaj Pulsar P150, but it has bodywork from the Bajaj Pulsar N160, including a tyre hugger, a single-piece grab rail, a slim tail section, and a projector LED headlight in the streetfighter style. This vehicle has an underbelly exhaust and a kick start lever, just like the Pulsar P150. It shares the same 149.68cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with the Pulsar P150, producing 14.5PS and 13.5Nm. The foundation, which includes the rear preload adjustable monoshock, disc up front, and drum down back (at least on the model of the bike featured in the leaked photographs). There are rumors that the bike will also be offered with a rear disc brake, but we won't know for sure until it is officially introduced.

The bike still has the same semi-digital instrument cluster as the N160, which includes a clock, a real-time and average mileage meter, a readout for the distance till the tank is empty, and other standard data. Regardless of the model, the P150 will most certainly receive a single-channel ABS. The bike has a single-piece seat arrangement, and the alloy wheel design is also noteworthy because it hasn't altered. White and red versions of the bicycle have been seen. Expect the bike manufacturer to also offer more color options.

Expect it to cost about Rs 2,000 more than the Pulsar P150 in terms of price. Here are the current ex-showroom Delhi costs for the Bajaj Pulsar P150 and Bajaj Pulsar N160 variants to give you a better idea:

Bajaj appears to be attempting to establish itself in the 150cc streetfighter market with the Pulsar N150 as the 160cc market has recently gotten more pricey. The N150 will also be Bajaj's response to the segment's lone competitor, the Yamaha FZ S V3. The motorcycle will also provide potential buyers the choice of a sportier version while staying in the 150cc class. The Pulsar N150 is the first of several Pulsar bikes that Bajaj will soon launch, so it appears that Bajaj is on the right track.
