Delhi : At EICMA 2023, Kawasaki showcased two all-new middle-weight bikes Ninja 500 and Z 500 in Milan, Italy. Both bikes Ninja 500 and Z 500 are built on the same chassis and will be available in two models: Standard and SE. Both motorcycles are powered by a 451-cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine with unspecified power and torque outputs. However, this is the same engine that powers the Eliminator 500. The engine in the cruiser produces a maximum power output of 45.4 bhp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque production of 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

The company has not yet officially declared if the new 500 cc motorcycles would be available in the Indian market. It is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. For both bikes, Kawasaki employs a trellis frame that is supported by telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock in the back. Disc brakes are used in both the front and back to provide braking. A dual-channel anti-lock braking system is available.

The bikes come standard with an LCD instrument cluster. The SE edition, which is the higher-spec version, has a USB Type C charging connector as well as Bluetooth communication via the Kawasaki Rideology App.

The SE model may additionally have a smoke-style instrument panel cover, radiator screen, crash sliders, pillion seat cover, tank pad, and knee grip pads, depending on the market. Genuine Kawasaki accessories include a wide windscreen (in clear or smoke), tank bag, wheel rim tape and an accessory seat that is 30 mm higher.

The Ninja 500 also gets a special edition with a distinctive colour design treatment; the SE incorporates KIPASS keyless ignition as standard, as well as a TFT metre and USB-C outlet.
