Hero MotoCorp pulls the plug on Xtreme 200S, check details
Delhi : The Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle was just released by Hero MotoCorp in India. Based on the Hero Xtreme 200S 2V motorbike, this new motorcycle has a modernised 4-valve engine and a few minor aesthetic adjustments.
It appears that Hero MotoCorp has chosen to discontinue the older Xtreme 200S 2V motorcycle just a few days after the introduction of the Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle. It's also important to note that the Hero Xtreme 200S 2V is no longer available on the official website of the business. The new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle was just recently introduced in the nation and has an MSRP of Rs. 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom).
Thus, compared to the previously discontinued Hero Xtreme 200 2V motorcycle, the freshly released Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle is Rs 6,000 more expensive. As previously announced, a new 200cc, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine is included with the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle. This engine now produces 18.8 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17.35 nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm thanks to the 4-valve configuration.
This indicates that compared to the recently retired model, the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle generates 6% more power and 5% more torque. The current model, however, still has the same 5-speed gearbox as the type that was retired.
In terms of exterior modifications, the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle comes in three new dual-tone colours: Moon Yellow, Panther Black Metallic, and Stealth Edition. The inclusion of a new split handlebar and a tyre hugger are two further obvious improvements.
Hardware-wise, the new Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycle has a traditional telescopic front suspension and a monoshock with a 7-step adjustment at the rear. Front and rear disc brakes are present on the new Xtreme 200S 4V, although there is only a single-channel ABS system.
Additional features like the digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, fuel injection, and head- and tail-mounted LED lights are still available. Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and other functions are all included in this digital instrument cluster. Thoughts on Hero MotoCorp's decision to stop manufacturing the Hero Xtreme 200S 2V motorcycle.
It made little sense to provide the older model to the company's clients because the prices of the Hero Xtreme 200S 2V and the recently released Hero Xtreme 200S 4V motorcycles were so similar. The company's production process will be streamlined as a result.
