Delhi : Shine 100, the entry-level model from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), was introduced today in Uttar Pradesh at an initial price of Rs 62,900 (ex-showroom). On the first day, the two-wheeler firm shipped 500 motorcycles to clients around the state. Hero HF Deluxe, Hero Splendour+, and Bajaj Platina 100 are challenged by the Honda Shine 100.

Honda Shine 100 was introduced in Rajasthan earlier this week.

The Shine 100's 98.98cc 4-stroke SI engine produces 8.05Nm of peak torque and 7.38PS of maximum power. A 4-speed manual gearbox is connected to the engine. The foundation of Honda's entry-level motorbike is a brand-new, thin diamond frame. It has dual hydraulic shocks at the back and a telescopic front suspension. 17-inch alloy wheels are present. The front drum brake measures 130mm, while the rear drum brake measures 110mm. A combi-brake system with an equaliser is also included.

1,955mm in length, 754mm in width, and 1,050mm in height make up the Honda Shine 100. Its wheelbase is 1,245 mm long. The 168mm ground clearance is respectable. 99 kg is the kerb weight.

The motorbike has an analogue instrument cluster, a sleek silencer, all-black alloy wheels and an aluminium grab rail. Black with Red Stripes, Black with Blue Stripes, Black with Green Stripes, and Black with Gold are its five colour possibilities.
