KTM 390 Duke launched in India: Two bold colors but one powerful ride
Delhi : The new 390 Duke from KTM 2023 has finally been introduced in India. It has had a significant makeover and a small price increase as well. The KTM 390 Duke has been updated in the areas of design, engine, hardware, features, and mechanics. So let's examine each of them in this narrative in turn.
Design of KTM 390 Duke 2023
The headlight and fuel tank designs on the 2019 KTM 390 Duke have been updated. The boomerang-shaped DRLs are still present, but the unit appears much wider. The LED configuration has also changed from the prior vertical arrangement. The new bike has bigger shrouds, and there are more creases and cuts overall. With an exposed rear subframe, it seems to have an even more angular demeanor than its predecessor. Not to mention, KTM has painted the bike in two new colors: Electronic Orange Metallic and Atlantic Blue.
Features of KTM 390 Duke 2023
The most recent KTM 390 Duke also has ride modes (Street, Rain, and Track), a fully digital instrument console, and LED illumination. There have also been added features including smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn directions, and call and audio control.
Engine of KTM 390 Duke 2023
A new, larger 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine drives the new KTM 390 Duke. It has a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a quickshifter that allows it to produce 44.25 horsepower and 39 Nm of torque. For comparison, the prior design had a 373cc single-cylinder engine that produced 42.9bhp and 37Nm.
Hardware of KTM 390 Duke 2023
The upgraded 43mm front USD forks of the Austrian streetfighter have compression and rebound controls, as well as an offset monoshock that can be adjusted. Even the brakes are different because the most recent 390 Duke has dual-channel, cornering, and Supermoto ABS and 320mm front and 240mm rear discs. These are attached to lighter 17-inch Michelin tyre-wrapped wheels.
Price of KTM 390 Duke 2023
The 2019 KTM 390 Duke has an asking price of Rs. 3.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That is almost 13,000 more than the previous model.
