Power, Precision, Performance: Kawasaki's KX 85 & KLX 300R arrive in India

Delhi : Two new dirt bikes from Kawasaki have been introduced to the Indian market. The ex-showroom pricing of the KLX 300R is Rs 5.60 lakh, while the 2024 KX 85 is priced at Rs 4.20 lakh. The CBU approach will be used to import both models.

Powering the Kawasaki KX 85 is a 2-stroke, 84cc single-cylinder engine. A close ratio 6-speed gearbox is matched with it.

Based on a tubular, semi-double cradle frame, the KX 85 has a fully adjustable KYB shock at the back of a Uni Trak suspension system and a 36 mm inverted cartridge fork with 275 mm of travel up front.

The KX 85 has Dunlop MX33 tires and disc brakes measuring 202 mm and 150 mm at the front and back, respectively.

A 292cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine producing 26.3 Nm and 28.6 BHP powers the KLX 300R. A 6-speed gearbox is linked to the engine. The KLX 300R has a Uni Trak single shock at the back and a 43 mm inverted front fork. A 240 mm petal-type disc in the back and a 270 mm semi-floating front disc perform braking duties.
