Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 to be discontinued globally

New Delhi : Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 had been discontinued in India a few months ago, now a news report suggests that the company is planning to take away the vehicle from international roads too.

However, the single-cylinder cafe racer will still be available to those who wish to buy one for a few more months.

The 535 will be replaced in markets with Continental GT 650, which is likely to go on sale from October.

Continental GT 535 launch date and more

The Continental GT 535 was launched in 2013 and it was the first Royal Enfield to feature a frame designed by UK-based Harris Performance, a firm that is now owned by Royal Enfield and continues to work closely with the Indian company.

The bike was an instant hit due to its handling and braking dynamics, but its price tag kept it in the dreams of many riders.

Its replacement Continental GT 650 twins are expected to be priced extremely competitively and an on-road price target of Rs 4 lakh or lower is possible.
