Delhi : The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X were recently on display by Triumph at various countries. The motorcycles were now on display in India, but only the Speed 400 was introduced there; the Scrambler 400 X will follow in October of this year. Both motorcycles are already available for reservation through the brand. Beginning in July 2023, deliveries of the Speed 400 are anticipated. Here are five facts regarding the Triumph Speed 400 that you should be aware of.

The heavier India-spec model

The Speed 400 model made specifically for India weighs 6 kg more. The motorcycle made for the UK weights 170 kg, but the one made for India weighs 176 kg. The saree guard, which is required in India, is the main cause of this.

Hardware and features

The front 43 mm up-side-down huge piston forks on the Speed 400 have 140 mm of travel, and the rear gas-charged monoshock has 130 mm of travel and pre-load adjustability. A 300 mm disc in front and a 230 mm disc at the back are responsible for braking the vehicle. Dual-channel ABS is included with the motorcycle as standard.

Powertrain details

The Speed 400 is propelled by a brand-new TR-series engine. It is a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with a 398.15 cc cubic size. It produces 39.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. With a slip-and-assist clutch, a 6-speed gearbox is connected to it.

The Speed 400 has an analogue speedometer with an LCD screen as part of its feature set. The motorcycle has a ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control and an immobiliser.

Bajaj Auto constructed the Triumph Speed 400

The Speed 400 will be produced by Bajaj Auto in Chakan at their brand-new production facility known as Chakan 2. It can produce 25,000 units each month, but as of right present, the factory can only produce 5,000 units.

The most affordable motorcycle is the Triumph Speed 400

The Speed 400 is Triumph's most economical motorbike model. For the first 10,000 consumers, it is priced at 2.23 lakh, and after that, it rises to 2.33 lakh. These are both ex-showroom prices. For the motorbike, reservations are already available.
