Delhi : At the moment, Yamaha India is not well-known for its large motorcycles because its flagship model is a 150cc single-cylinder bike. Nevertheless, Yamaha's global portfolio boasts a remarkable selection of enthusiast bikes, including the Tenere ADV series. Additionally, Yamaha has expanded its global offering with the Tenere 700 Extreme.

The product will soon be introduced by the corporation in a few international countries, broadening the off-roading scope and providing greater mechanical power to go beyond the trodden route.

The enhanced mechanicals of the Tenere 700 Extreme are intended for more experienced off-road riders. Regarding improved mechanics, Yamaha has refined the front suspension arrangement, which has a 43mm USD telescopic configuration. The internals now have a fresh Kashima coating, which lessens wear and tear and friction.

Additionally, there is 20 mm of additional suspension travel, which should boost confidence when making a hard landing after a jump. Hardcore off-roading and hassle-free trail riding are guaranteed by the 260mm of ground clearance. Even the tallest riders are likely to perspire due to the greater seat height of 910 mm that comes with the increased ground clearance.

Hardware fit for off-roading

Additional off-road components include a front beak, a tall windscreen, knuckle guards, a tall side stand, engine protection, dual-purpose knobby tires, wire-spoke wheels, adjustable suspension, bigger Titanium footpegs, flat one-piece seat, and more. In relation to the engine, it is a 689cc DOHC liquid-cooled parallel-twin that reaches its maximum power of 73 bhp at 9000 RPM and its maximum torque of 68 Nm at 6500 RPM. A 6-speed gearbox is fitted to this engine. The company states that a 100 km trip uses 4.16L of petrol. This is equivalent to 24 km/l. The Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme should have a tank range of around 380 kilometers when combined with a 16L gasoline tank.

KYB 43mm USD telescopic front forks, a swingarm-mounted KYB Piggyback rear shock absorber, front and rear wheels measuring 21 and 18 inches respectively, tires measuring 90/90-21 up front and 150/70-18 in the back, and other parts are included. Impressively, the Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme weighs just 205 kg wet (with 16 liters of fuel and 3 liters of engine oil). Notable features include LED illumination and a 5-inch color TFT screen shaped like a rally car with navigation. In the future, Yamaha is anticipated to introduce the Standard Yamaha Tenere 700 in India.
