New Delhi : Honda Cars India has launched the much-awaited new generation Civic in India at a price tag of Rs17.69 (ex-showroom). Sold in V, VX and ZX variants and assembled at the brand’s Greater Noida plant, the 2019 Civic’s prices go all the way up to Rs. 22.29 Lakh for the range-topping model.

Having skipped one generation in India, the executive sedan has returned to the market after a long gap of six years. The tenth generation of the car is a mix of both luxury and sportiness.

The Civic is the longest-running nameplate for Honda in the world and more than 25 million units have been sold through its nearly five decades of presence. In India, the new Honda Civic will be competing with Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra.

The latest generation of the Civic had made its debut at the Auto Expo 2018. Interestingly, meeting the demands, the new Honda civic has been launched with diesel engine too. Marking it the first time for the D-segment sedan, the 1.6-litre Earth Dreams four-cylinder unit is good enough to produce 120 PS and 300 Nm.

 

The new Civic comes equipped with segment-first features like Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold, Lane Watch, Agile Handling Assist, Walk Away Locking and much more while a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
