2023 Tata Altroz iCNG: Variants, engine options and more

Delhi : Prices for the CNG version of Tata Motors' Altroz hatchback range from Rs 7.55 lakh for the base XE trim to Rs 10.54 lakh for the top-of-the-line XZ+O(S) model.

The Altroz iCNG is the first factory-fitted CNG hatchback with a sunroof and is offered in six trim levels: XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S), and XZ+O(S). With the exception of a few iCNG emblems on the car, the CNG version looks exactly like the petrol-powered hatchback from the exterior. Here is a list of the things that each trim has to offer.

Performance and engine of the Tata Altroz iCNG

The same 1.2-liter petrol engine that powers the petrol Altroz also powers the Altroz iCNG. However, it has dual-cylinder technology, which, as the name implies, uses two smaller cylinders rather than a single, larger one. As a result, the boot space is 215 litres, which is more than its competitors'. The engine generates 88 horsepower and 115 nm of torque while operating on petrol, however it only generates 77 horsepower and 103 nm of horsepower when running on compressed natural gas. The Altroz will compete with vehicles like the Toyota Glanza CNG and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG.
