2024 Renault Duster SUV - Everything you wanted to know, and India launch is expected in 2025
Delhi : In Portugal earlier today, the extremely promised next-generation Duster made its formal debut. The next-generation Duster SUV was unveiled by Renault's sister company Dacia, and it will go on sale in foreign countries the following year. The brand-new Duster, which Renault has been testing for a while, resembles the leaked or rendered photos that were circulated online before to the vehicle's release. The redesigned Duster will initially be available for purchase in European markets. Other nations will only get it following its premiere on the European market.
Remember when Renault previously revealed the Bigster concept? The recently introduced Duster appears to be modelled around it. The 2024 Renault Duster's front end has a tough appearance that is evocative of previous Dacia vehicles offered abroad. Its svelte external design lends it a desirable SUV vibe. LED DRLs in the shape of a Y connect to the front grille garnish on the Duster. With built-in fog lamps and air vents, the bumper has a rugged appearance.
The powerful design language on the bonnet is clear, just like it is on the bumper. When it comes to the side appearance, the SUV's front door has a blacked-out vertical line that sits just under the ORVMs. The rear doorknobs are concealed on the pillar. The swept-back tail lights, cladding surrounding the squared-out wheel arches, and roof rails all have a clean appearance. The Duster's alloy wheel design differs from that of the vehicle from an earlier generation. The higher-end SUV has 18-inch alloy wheels, while the lower-end models have 17-inch wheels. The new Duster is longer at 4.34 metres than the previous model.
The Duster's tail lights have a Y-shaped form, just like its LED DRLs. The bottom portion of the bumper has black cladding, and the tailboard is branded with the Dacia logo. This is the outside of the Dacia Duster; when the SUV is introduced in India, we anticipate seeing some little styling adjustments. Renault is reportedly planning to introduce the all-new Duster in India around the latter part of 2025.
Now let's talk about the Dacia Duster's inside
It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, an AC vent with Y-shaped design components, a flat top and bottom steering wheel with multifunction controls, a 7-inch completely digital instrument cluster, automated temperature control, and more. The cabin appears distinct from what was previously available in the market. The more advanced version of the Duster will also come equipped with ADAS technologies including AEB, traffic sign recognition, lane change warning aid, and more, as well as amenities like an automatic parking brake. When the SUV arrives in India, Renault may decide to eliminate some of these elements, much like it did with the appearance.
Three different engine choices are offered for the Dacia Duster. A 1.6-liter gasoline hybrid engine with two electric motors is coupled to an automated gearbox. A 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system is the next engine available. This engine produces about 130 horsepower. As an extra feature, this Duster variant also features 4x4. A 1.0-liter gasoline engine that would be available with petrol-LPG/CNG in select areas is the third engine choice. With the Duster, Renault has eschewed a diesel engine, as have many other manufacturers.
