Delhi : In February 2023, Maruti Suzuki sales increased 10 percent year over year while MoM sales stayed same. The largest carmaker in the nation sold 1,47,467 units in February 2023, an increase of 10% YoY from the 1,33,948 units sold in February 2022. 1,47,348 units were sold in January 2023, a volume gain of just 119 units. Market share was 44.1%, a 0.1 percent decrease from the 44.2 percent held in February 2022.

Baleno ranks first in the February 2023 Maruti Sales Breakup.

The only two models in the company's range to show YoY and MoM growth were the Maruti Baleno and Brezza. With sales of 18,592 units, the Baleno premium hatchback took the top spot, a 48 percent YoY increase over the 12,570 units sold in February 2022. As compared to the 16,357 units sold in January 2023, MoM sales grew by 14%. The Baleno also topped the chart for overall PV sales in February 2023.

Sales of the Swift, which were ranked No. 2, in February 2023 were 18,412, a 4 percent YoY decline from the 19,202 units sold in February 2022. Compared to the 16,440 units sold in January 2023, MoM sales rose by 12.1 percent. Through March 2023, the business is providing significant discounts on the Swift and other models offered through Nexa and Arena showrooms.

Although MoM sales fell by 15% from 21,411 units sold in January 2023, YoY sales of the Maruti Alto increased by 57% to 18,114 units in February 2023. WagonR likewise had a YoY gain of 15% but a MoM decline of 17% with 16,889 units sold in the previous month.

The DZire sedan comes in last among Maruti's top five vehicles. Sales fell 4% YoY to 16,798 units in February 2023, although they rose 48% MoM from the 11,317 units sold in January 2023. In February 2023, Maruti's top 5 models accounted for 60% of all sales, or about 89k units. Sales of the latter 9 vehicles totaled roughly 58k units.
