Aston Martin teams up with Lucid for future EV line-up, check details
Delhi : Aston Martin has announced a partnership with US-based EV startup Lucid to supply batteries for its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) line-up. Lucid, known for its popular Lucid Air EV sedan, will provide the battery components that will serve as the foundation for Aston Martin's new battery-electric car platform. This platform will underpin a range of models including an electrified hypercar, sports car, GT, and SUV.
Lucid's Impressive Capabilities
Currently, Lucid produces the Lucid Air EV sedan, which offers single-, dual-, and tri-motor powertrains. The most powerful configuration delivers over 1200hp. Lucid's current-generation motors have the capability to produce up to 670hp while weighing less than 74kg each.
Access to Mercedes-Benz Technologies
In addition to the partnership with Lucid, Aston Martin has confirmed its continued access to Mercedes-Benz technologies. This includes powertrains, both electric and internal combustion, as well as electrical architectures. Leveraging these technologies will further enhance Aston Martin's EV offerings.
