Delhi : BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is about to reach the end of its useful life because the German luxury automaker is prepared to discontinue it by November 2023. The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, which was introduced in 2017, has never been a commercial success for the manufacturer. In 2021, BMW made changes to the 6 Series Gran Turismo and included an electric drivetrain. The lack of private customer sales and the vehicle's predominant use as an airport and hotel shuttle in various European nations led the manufacturer to abandon this type.

Unofficial leaks of the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo report have occurred, but the automaker has not publicly announced its choice. According to the rumor, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo will continue to be manufactured for a few more months before the 6 Series name is dropped. The demand for the brand of cars has not been adequate. According to the research, only 509 units were sold in Germany in 2022, an extremely low figure. The 6 Series GT has only sold 237 cars in the company's own country as of halfway through 2023, making it the automaker's least successful model.

The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is also sold in India. The automobile, which has a diesel engine, starts at 72.50 lakh rupees (ex-showroom) in India. The automobile is currently for sale on the website of the German automotive giant.

While this was happening, BMW India recorded its best-ever half-year and quarterly sales for the months of January through June and April through June, respectively. The company asserted that between January and June of this year, BMW and Mini together sold 5,867 vehicles. The company added that the most demand was seen for its flagship models.
