Delhi : It's time to review every new automobile that was introduced in India as 2023 draws to a close. In the last year, India has witnessed a number of new automobile introductions, including sub-compact SUVs, people-movers, MPVs, electric vehicles, competent off-roaders, sport cars, and more. Facelifts, which will be covered in a separate list, have not been included since we are only considering models that have just entered the market or that have had a generational upgrade.

The list of new automobiles that were introduced in 2023 is as follows.

Audi Q3 Sportback

Cost: 52.97 lakh rupees

The Audi Q3 Sportback is basically the Q3, with a few unique features that are mostly restricted to the outside design. There is only one model available for the Q3 Sportback, which is the coupe form of the basic SUV. Its 2-liter turbo-petrol engine drives all four wheels with the use of a quattro all-wheel-drive system. Go here to learn more about the Audi Q3 Sportback.

BMW 7 Series & i7

Cost (BMW 7 Series): between Rs. 1.78 and Rs. 1.81 crore

Cost (for a BMW i7): between Rs. 2.03 and Rs. 2.50 crore

Luxuriousness is the main feature of the BMW i7 and 7 Series models. Bold outward design, opulent amenities, and a huge curving dashboard display characterise the i7. BMW M2

Cost: INR 99.90 lakh

Shortly after making its worldwide premiere, the second-generation BMW M2 was introduced in India. The 2-door sports vehicle has a 3-liter inline-6 turbocharged engine, which is similar to the M3 and M4, but is tuned differently. BMW X1, iX1

Cost (BMW X1): between Rs 48.90 and Rs 51.60 lakh

Cost (BMW iX1): 66.90 lakh rupees

Not long after its worldwide premiere, the third-generation BMW X1 arrived on our shores. Because of its widespread market appeal, the German automaker considers the entry-level luxury SUV to be rather significant. It has brand-new interiors and evolutionary exteriors. Citroen C3 Aircross 

Cost: between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 12.54 lakh

In the small SUV class, the Citroen C3 Aircross has the first 3-row seat arrangement. Additionally, you may have it as a five-seater or remove the last row seats when not in use to free up extra trunk room. Citroen eC3

Cost: between Rs. 11.61 and Rs. 12.79 lakh

The eC3 is Citroen's first electric vehicle and the country's first mid-size electric hatchback. It has a 29.2 kWh battery pack and a 57 PS electric motor, and it looks a lot like the ICE-powered variant. The eC3's big touchscreen infotainment device is the only luxury cabin comfort available, unlike the competitors. A 320 km range is promised for the eC3. Mahindra XUV400 

Cost: between Rs. 15.99 lakh to Rs. 19.39 lakh

The Indian automaker's first long-range electric vehicle was the XUV400. It competes with the well-liked Tata Nexon EV. Nevertheless, the XUV400 is somewhat larger than the vehicle it is built on (the XUV300), in contrast to the Nexon EV. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

Cost: Rs 13.13 lakh to Rs 7.46 lakh

Based on the Baleno hatchback with stylish external design tweaks, the Maruti Fronx takes a novel way to carve out a crossover niche beneath SUVs. The crossover's design appears to have been influenced by the Maruti Grand Vitara, a smaller compact SUV. Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Cost: between Rs. 24.82 lakh to Rs. 28.42 lakh

The most costly vehicle for the Indian market to date is the Maruti Invicto, which is a product of the Toyota-Suzuki alliance. It is just an Innova Hycross with a new name. Maruti Suzuki Jimny 

Cost: between Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05 lakh

Since making its worldwide premiere at the Auto Expo in January 2023, the Jimny 5-door has been one of the year's most eagerly awaited releases. With the exception of the side profile, the features, powertrains, and off-road hardware are all the same as they are on the 3-door model. Mercedes-Benz GLC

Cost: between Rs 73.50 and Rs 74.50 lakh

This year, the Mercedes-Benz GLC underwent a generational makeover and was introduced in August. The new GLC has a redesigned dashboard that is derived from the C-Class, a bigger grille, and slimmer headlights, among other outward and interior design upgrades. Mercedes-AMG SL55

Cost: 2.35 crore rupees

A fully built-up unit (CBU) of the Mercedes-Benz SL seventh generation is imported into India. The fabric roof of the 2-door convertible may be pulled back while driving. With a peak speed of 295 kmph, the 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine powers the SL55 in its AMG configuration. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds. MG Comet EV

Cost: between Rs 7.98 lakh and Rs 9.98 lakh

Speaking of novel ideas, MG deserves praise for bringing the peculiar and unconventional EV to our shores. 

The Comet EV, which has two huge doors, seating for four people, and a stated range of 230 km, is just three metres long. The goal of the incredibly small electric car is to serve as a backup vehicle in urban areas. Go here to learn more about the MG Comet EV.

Honda Elevate

Cost: from Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 16.20 lakh.

Indeed, in 2023 Honda did, in fact, introduce a new SUV to India. The Honda City and the Honda Elevate share a same platform. The Elevate is Honda's foray into the well-liked small SUV market, albeit coming a little late to the party. Although the Elevate doesn't have any unique features, its dependable 1.5-liter normally aspirated engine, CVT automatic transmission, ADAS technology, and roomy interior should help it become a well-liked vehicle. Hyundai Exter 

Cost: between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10.15 lakh

Aiming to rival the well-liked Tata Punch, the Korean micro-SUV has six airbags, a sunroof, and a dual-camera dashcam—features that are first in its class. Hyundai Ioniq 5

Cost: 45.95 lakh rupees

Hyundai's Kona EV was one of the first mass-market long-range electric vehicles available in India. Its flagship electric vehicle for the world, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, came next. This is the company's first electric vehicle, built on the EV-focused E-GMP platform. The vehicle is simply a big hatchback with a futuristic look that blends contemporary and vintage design elements. Additionally, because it is locally made, the price is rather competitive. Hyundai Verna

Cost: between Rs 10.96 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh

Hyundai has improved its sedan lineup for 2023 with the Verna. The well-rounded sedan has a new design, an upgraded interior, and a powerful engine. The car with lots of features also has a 5-star GNCAP certification. See our first drive report for further information about the Hyundai Verna. 

Toyota Innova Hycross

Cost: between Rs 18.82 lakh and Rs 30.26 lakh

One of the most recognisable MPV brands in India is the Toyota Innova. On the other hand, the Innova Hycross differs significantly from the MPV it replaces. From a rear-wheel drive ladder-on-frame vehicle to a front-wheel drive monocoque gasoline and gasoline-hybrid vehicle. Toyota Rumion

Cost: between Rs 10.29 lakh and Rs 13.68 lakh

The Rumion is merely Toyota's take on the hugely successful Ertiga MPV, and it is another result of the Maruti-Toyota collaboration. It is unclear how well the Ertiga-Rumion twins perform for the Japanese automakers, given the success of the Baleno-Glanza pair. Go here to learn more about the Toyota Rumion.

Volvo C40 Recharge

Cost: 62.95 lakh rupees

Volvo's C40 Recharge was the company's final electric vehicle to be introduced in India. It is the first EV-only vehicle in the Swedish brand's portfolio and an SUV-coupe built on the all-electric XC40 Recharge platform. With new battery chemistry, the C40 Recharge delivers a significantly longer range from the same size and is more fashionable and feature-rich than the original model.
