Delhi : Today, Hyundai Motor India officially introduced the next-generation Verna sedan to the Indian market, with an initial price of Rs. 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The most expensive SX (O) 7DCT model costs Rs. 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the business, the new-generation Verna has already been reserved 8,000 times. Buyers can reserve the new-generation Hyundai Verna online or at authorized shops for a down payment of Rs 25,000.

Hyundai Verna dimensions for 2023

With a 1,765mm width and 2,670mm wheelbase, the new Hyundai Verna is larger than its predecessor. It is 1,475mm in height and 4,535mm in length. 528 litres are available in the boot of the 2023 Hyundai Verna.

Hyundai Verna colour options for 2023

Four variations of the brand-new Verna will be offered: EX, S, SX, and SX (O). Fiery Red, Typhoon Silver, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Tellurian Brown, Titan Grey, and Starry Night are the 7 single-tone exterior colour possibilities for the all-new Hyundai Verna. Atlas White with a black roof and Fiery Red with a black roof are two examples of the dual-tone colour possibilities.

2023 Hyundai Verna interior colour possibilities are Black and Beige (low and mid-spec models) and Black and Red (higher variants).

Hyundai Verna 2023: Design

The all-new Hyundai Verna will be built on the Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy that Hyundai uses for all of its vehicles worldwide. With split headlamps, a parametric jewel grille, and a full-width LED DRL strip dividing the bonnet and front bumper, the 2017 Verna will have these features up front. R16 diamond cut alloy wheels and strong character lines frame the side profile.

The sedan's rear features H-shaped connected taillights with an LED light strip that spans its width. Moreover, the back bumper is two-toned, and the Verna logo is only inlaid in the taillight.

For the lower and middle variants of the new Verna, a dual-tone Black and Beige interior theme is present, while a Black and Red interior motif is present on the higher variants. The 2023 Hyundai Verna's interior will have a dual-screen arrangement with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 64-colour ambient lighting, a power driver's seat, and ventilated front seats. The electric sunroof, the 8-speaker Bose premium music system, the switchable type controller with dual functionalities, and the BlueLink connected car technology with 65+ connected features are further standout features. There are three drive modes available: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The 10.25-inch infotainment system has Bluetooth connectivity, Valet mode, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as OTA updates for the system. Additionally, it allows Hindi and English voice commands for operations like opening the sunroof, turning on the air conditioning, activating ventilated seats, and more.

Hyundai is providing a 3-year free BlueLink subscription to new-generation Verna customers, which includes SOS calls, geofencing, stolen car immobilisation, monthly health reports, and more.

Safety in the 2023 Hyundai Verna

The 2023 Hyundai Verna comes with 30 standard safety features and 65+ additional safety features. The sedan comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Aid Technologies, including Safe Exit Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors, and other features are additional safety measures.

Hyundai Verna 2023: Engine

The 2023 Verna is powered by a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine that is RDE and E20 compliance and produces 115 PS and 144 Nm like previously, as well as a new 1.5-liter turbo engine that is RDE and E20 compliant and produces 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of torque. The sedan comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the latter has a 7-speed DCT as an option. Moreover, a CVT is available for the normally aspirated petrol engine. The new generation Verna won't be available with a diesel engine.

Hyundai Verna 2023: Mileage

Fuel efficiency ratings for the 1.5-liter MPi petrol engine range from 18.60 km/l (MT) to 19.60 km/l (IVT). Mileage for the new 1.5-liter turbo GDI petrol engine is 20 km/l (MT) and 20.60 km/l (DCT).
