Delhi : The beginning pricing of Citroen's recently reavealed midsize SUV the C3 Aircross has been disclosed. There will be three different models of the car: You, Plus, and Max variant. The base-spec You variant's initial ex-showroom cost is Rs 9.99 lakh. In the upcoming days, Citroen will announce the pricing for the mid-spec Plus and top-spec Max models.
The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate all have beginning prices that are more than the Citroen C3 Aircross' (Rs 9.99 lakh). All of these competing SUVs start at a price beyond Rs. 10.50 lakh for their base-spec models, which include more high-tech features even in their base-spec configurations.
Citroen now accepts reservations for all three versions for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000 and has revealed the pricing for the You model with the lowest specification. Prices for the C3 Aircross Plus and Max variants are anticipated to be released on or before October 15th, when deliveries of the vehicle will start.
The fundamental specification C3 Aircross Citroen You model, which comes in a five-seater SUV configuration, offers simply necessary equipment. This model lacks high-end equipment included in the Max model, like speakers, a touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, a rear wiper defogger, and roof-mounted AC vents. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, reverse parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are among the safety features that are included with the vehicle.
The front chrome grille of the Citroen C3 Aircross incorporates the company's Chevron emblem, continuing the design language first used on the C3 hatchback. It employs standard halogen bulbs for the front lights and does not have LED headlights, although it does have daytime running LED strips, just as the C3 hatchback. The SUV also has LED tail lamps linked by a black strip running across the boot lid, as well as pull-style door handles.
Fog lights built into the air intake box on the front bumper and 17-inch Quadratic alloy wheels are included with the C3 Aircross' higher trim levels. Six speakers for the music system, a front center armrest linked to the driver's seat, a 7-inch TFT instrument panel, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, and more can be found in the cabin of higher models.
The 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is also found in the C3 hatchback, is the sole engine available for the Citroen C3 Aircross. With a 6-speed manual transmission, this engine can produce a maximum of 190 Nm of torque and 110 PS of power. Later on, a 6-speed torque converter is anticipated to be added to the C3 Aircross series.
