Delhi : In a post on X last night, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that all Tesla Superchargers in Israel will be given out without charge. These Superchargers are a component of a high-voltage direct current fast-charging network made specifically for electric vehicles and were developed by American electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. Amidst the continuing Israel-Palestine conflict, this comment was made.

Another user belittled Elon for his response and his failure to offer any sort of tangible assistance or aid to the people living in the war-torn region in the midst of the ongoing, widespread carnage.

Electrek reports that Tesla announced the availability of all 22 of its Supercharger stations in Israel at no cost. In the past, Tesla has provided free supercharging to locations where owners of Tesla vehicles may need to flee hazardous situations fast. This include regions hit by natural calamities like Florida hurricanes and California wildfires, in addition to combat zones like those seen during Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"And there is no electricity in Gaza," a user questioned if free charging at Supercharger locations was really possible. "I hope that electricity and essential services are rapidly restored to Gaza," was Elon Musk's response to this.

Elon Musk expressed regret for the war-torn region and said, "Sorry to see what's happening in Israel," in another post on X last week. One day, maybe, there will be peace."

Even though a Supercharging session doesn't cost much for Tesla customers, Tesla's action is nonetheless beneficial. Tesla had already made more significant progress in the past by increasing the range of cars with software-locked battery packs in comparable situations. This action made it possible for Tesla customers to go farther in an emergency.
