Delhi : First revealed in April 2022, the Tata Curvv EV concept foreshadows the company's upcoming midsize SUV. Along with the Avinya EV concept, the automaker is anticipated to display the same model or a different one at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2023. According to information already provided by Tata, the Curvv would first be offered as an electric SUV before being offered with an internal combustion engine.

The new Tata midsize SUV is anticipated to debut in 2024 or 2025, while its exact release date has not yet been announced. When it is released, the ICE-powered variant will compete against vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.

The Curvv EV concept's powertrain specifications have not yet been disclosed by Tata Motors. However, a battery pack bigger than the 30.2kWh battery pack in the Nexon EV is anticipated to be made available. The Tata Curvv coupe SUV's production version is expected to have a range of between 400 and 500 kilometres. The idea also saw the introduction of Tata's brand-new Generation-2 architecture, which is essentially a substantially modified version of the Gen-1 platform used in the Nexon EV.

Different types of body designs and powertrains can be supported by the Gen-2 architecture. With features like triangle headlamp housings, a full-width LED light bar, a finely sculpted bumper, triangular air vents, squared-off wheel arches, a curved roofline, and a boot in the shape of a notchback, the Curvv concept previews the brand's new "Digital" design language.

The Tata Curvv idea has a simple interior. A three-layer dashboard, an angular section at the bottom, and an LED light strip that spans the width of the interior are all features of this vehicle. There are two independent digital displays: one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster. The design also has a floating centre console with a centre armrest, rotary gear selector, and climate control buttons in between.
