Delhi : Honda Elevate was introduced in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 10.99 lakh. The Japanese automaker is attempting to compete in the very competitive mid-size SUV category with this model. Honda presently offers the Amaze and City for sale in the nation in addition to the Elevate.

While these sedans served as the company's main product line, the debut of Elevate, which will be followed by the introduction of four more SUVs by the end of the year 2030, is a part of the new SUV-centric strategy. The electric Elevate will make its domestic market debut as the second SUV, according to Honda's top officials.

The company has set an objective of launching within the following three years. The Elevate will assist the brand in pulling some strong sales volumes, helping it to reclaim its market share and win back customers' trust. All of these will prepare the ground for Honda's first EV to be introduced in the nation.

The remaining three SUVs that are a part of the strategy are kept under wraps by the firm. However, there are rumors in the market that a new sub-4-meter SUV, which will take the place of the now-discontinued W-RV, is also in the works. However, it is reasonable to conclude that Honda will focus mostly on SUVs as it has a sizable market share and is anticipated to grow even more.

When it comes to the Elevate, it costs between Rs. 10.99 lakh and Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid-size SUV will compete against well-known brands like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos, among others. It is propelled by the well-known 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, which is a direct lift-off from the City in the same state of tune. You can choose between a manual and a CVT automatic gearbox.
