Hyundai Creta second generation to be launched in mid-March 2020
New Delhi : Back in 2015, Hyundai Creta had become an instant choice for SUV lovers who wanted comfort and style with premium features in a not so bulky size. The makers are all set to launch the second generation of the SUV.
According to a report by Autocar, Hyundai will be launching the all-new Creta by mid-March to regain the lost stance against the rivals like Kia Seltos and MG Hector.
Interestingly, it has already been launched in China with the name of ix 25. And if the similar version gets launched in the Indian market then it will be a big reason to worry for its rivals.
It has been learned that the 2020 Creta is longer and wider than the one currently on Indian roads. In fact, the new Creta is based on the Kia Seltos platform which would help it gain a stronger visual appeal.
The front of the car is likely to get maximum modifications, including the new headlamps with sleek LEDs on top. Inverted L-shaped DRLs were also seen on the recent ix 25 showcased in China and this could make way into the India version as well.
Talking about the inside changes, Hyundai is likely to change the dash completely and give it a vertical 10.25-inch infotainment system.
Under the hood, the 2020 Creta will surely sport BS 6-compliant engines and a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors are expected. All eyes, however, would be on whether a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine is also put up as a variant option.
