Delhi : The first design rendering for Hyundai Motor India's future Exter micro-SUV has been made public. The business unveiled the front-end layout of the micro-SUV. The vehicle is prepared to take on the Tata Punch.

In addition to the split headlamps seen on Hyundai's other SUVs, like the Venue and Creta, the design render depicts the "parametric" grille design that Hyundai cars have.

In order to improve visibility and road presence, Hyundai stated that the front design will feature characteristic H-LED daytime running lights. According to Hyundai, the micro-SUV would also have "distinct creases and chiselled surfaces."

The micro-SUV hopes to draw in Gen Z automobile enthusiasts, according to Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India.

"The Hyundai Exter is poised to redefine the dreams of young Gen Z consumers who want to buy a cutting-edge and trendy SUV. Hyundai Exter will soon be available to satisfy your wanderlust, forming a seamless merger of Hyundai's SUV DNA and Global Design Identity of Sensuous Sportiness, Garg said.

Exeter will likely include a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay on the inside. It will also be fitted with contemporary staples like a push start-stop button, wireless charger, and leather upholstery.

The vehicle is anticipated to be powered by a 1.2-liter, normally aspirated petrol engine with 83 PS and 114 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be the default choice, while a 5-speed AMT may also be offered.

Recently, witnesses saw the vehicle doing testing in deep snow. Along with the Tata Punch, the Exter will be up against the compact SUV C3 from French automaker Citroen and lesser-equipped versions of the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and the incoming Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
