Hyundai to launch new 'Santro' on September 23

New Delhi : Hyundai is all set to launch 'Santro' on September 23, 2018. As per Autocar India, AH2 will make its debut in the Indian market by the end of October this year. It is likely that AH2 is slated to replace the Eon which is powered by a BS3 compliant motor. The hatchback will be powered by an updated version of the Santro Xing's 1.1-litre petrol power plant which churns out a modest 65bhp. The upcoming Santro is also scheduled to get an Automated Manual Transmission, apart from the traditional 5-speed manual gearbox.

On the exterior design front, the Santro AH2 will get Hyundai's characteristic radiator grille, LED DRLs on headlamps, and a fat C-Pillar. On the interior, the Santro AH2 hatch will get a touchscreen infotainment system, air-con, and the basic titbits.

Hyundai will be announcing the official name of AH2 hatchback on October 9.
