Delhi : For quite some time, Hyundai Motor India has been teasering the Exter SUV, which is scheduled to debut on June 10, 2023. The company has now previewed the car's back side, exposing its design language, adding to the anticipation. Here are all the details.

Hyundai Exter's rear design

The teaser image emphasises the rear skid plate and the H-shaped LED tail lamps. The roof rails and seeming flat tailboard further emphasise the tiny SUV's height. It also has a shark-fin antenna, a rear wiper, a high-mount stop lamp in the middle, and reflectors built into the back bumper.

The Hyundai Exter has a boxy design aesthetic and a two-tone exterior paint job. It also has a single glass pane sunroof and Hyundai's Bluelink networking system. A front grille with a parametric design, H-shaped LED DRLs, and a projector headlight are added to the front fascia. Dual-tone alloy wheels and wide wheel arches with substantial cladding frame the side profile. A dash cam unit with two cameras that can record footage in full HD video resolution is one of the Hyundai Exter's other industry-first features.

Hyundai Exter: Alternatives

There will be five variations of the Hyundai Exter SUV: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.

Engine: Hyundai Exter

Two engines will be available to power the Hyundai Exter: a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine (E20 fuel ready) and a 1.2-liter Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine. Both an AMT and a five-speed manual gearbox are available as gearbox choices.

Safety features for the Hyundai Exter

The Hyundai Exter SUV will come with six airbags, ESC, VSM, HAC (Hill Assist Control), 3-Point Seat Belts with seatbelt reminders (all seats), keyless entry, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESS, and burglar alarms as standard safety features.

Expected cost of the Hyundai Exter

In the Indian market, the Hyundai Exter pricing will probably start at Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete in the same market as cars like the Tata Punch and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
