Delhi : In India, the Kia Seltos debuted for the first time in August 2019. Although it was an instant hit, the level of competition in its market rapidly rose. The business is now preparing the redesigned Kia Seltos for its upcoming introduction in India later this month. On July 4th, 2023, Kia will formally introduce the vehicle in India before its introduction. The 2023 Seltos' official new shade, known as Pluton Blue in the Australian market, has officially been teased.

2023 Kia Seltos Pluton Blue Colour Revealed

The new Seltos promises to arrive with a variety of aesthetic and interior feature changes, driver and passenger amenities, as well as upgraded safety equipment, in order to once again raise itself ahead of competitors. Tech-Line and GT-Line Kia Seltos will still be available.

With a redesigned front fascia and LED DRLs with a linked LED strip, it will seem sportier. Additionally, it will get a new front grille and new bumpers and taillights in the back. Its side aspect hasn't changed, but one significant feature upgrade is the addition of a panoramic sunroof. It will be available in new hues, one of which has already been formally hinted at.

As part of the facelift, the 2023 Kia Seltos will also get new alloy wheels. Additionally, it should be noted that the Hyundai Creta has a panoramic sunroof, whilst the contemporary Kia Seltos only have a single glass.

The 2019 Kia Seltos will include a big 10.25-inch infotainment screen, twin displays with digital driver display units, mounted controls on the steering wheel, and an improved infotainment system. According to reports, Kia will sell the 2019 Seltos with the ADAS package, which includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and more. Additionally, it will have a total of 6 airbags, an electronic stability control system, hill assist, braking aid, ABS, and EBD.

Engine updates for the 2023 Kia Seltos

The range of engines for the Kia Seltos will change in 2023. It will be powered by the same 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine that now drives the Carens. This engine has a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 7 speed DCT and produces 253 Nm of torque and 160 horsepower. In addition to this engine, the Seltos will continue to be offered with its current portfolio of 1.5 litre gasoline engines with 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque and 1.5 litre diesel engines with 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

It will continue to compete in its sector against vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and the soon-to-be-released Honda Elevate. Pricing has not yet been disclosed, but given the feature improvements, it will be more expensive than the existing model, which ranges in price from 10.89 to 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
