Delhi : After four years on the market, the Kia Seltos is gearing up for its first major update in the form of a facelift. The much-anticipated debut is scheduled for July 4, and Kia India has already provided a teaser showcasing some exciting changes to the mid-size SUV's exterior and interior.

Sleek Exterior Design Updates

The teaser offers a glimpse of the revamped front end, featuring new LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) that blend seamlessly with the slightly redesigned front grille. At the rear, the Seltos facelift boasts a new LED tail light setup, extending to the middle, complementing the front DRLs.

Upgraded Cabin with Connected Dual Digital Display

Inside, the Seltos facelift surprises with a new connected dual digital display setup. This innovative feature combines the infotainment screen and a new fully digital color TFT instrument cluster, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof Takes Center Stage

One of the most exciting additions to the Seltos facelift is the inclusion of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. This enhancement puts the Seltos on par with its cousin, the Hyundai Creta, which was previously known for its large panoramic sunroof. Kia aims to take things a step further by introducing this extensive feature list in the Seltos facelift.

Anticipated Safety Features

While official confirmation is still pending, it is expected that the Kia Seltos facelift will come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety features. This may include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and more. The Seltos will continue to offer other essential safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and ISOFIX anchorages.

Powerful Engine Options

The current Kia Seltos lineup in India includes the 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, following the discontinuation of the 1.4-litre turbo petrol variant. However, with the facelift, Kia is expected to introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor generating 160 PS of power, similar to the engine offered in the Carens. This powerful engine option is likely to be available exclusively in the GT Line trim.

Kia enthusiasts and prospective buyers can look forward to the Seltos facelift, which promises to elevate the driving experience with its updated design, enhanced features, and improved powertrain options. Stay tuned for the official unveiling on July 4 to witness the full extent of the upgrades that Kia has in store for the popular mid-size SUV.
