Delhi : In India, Mahindra and Mahindra unveiled their first vehicles built on the "Born Electric" platform. Although Mahindra showed the cars off in pictures last year, this is the first time the concept cars have been seen by the general public. In the Indian market, Mahindra intends to introduce a new line of electric SUVs. Mahindra disclosed information regarding the brand-new BE.05 and BE.05 RALL E.

One of the three SUVs Mahindra displayed in concept form was the XUV BE.05. The new BE family of SUVs will be based on "Born Electric" platforms will not have an ICE variant, as they will be built on the new INGLO platform developed in partnership with Volkswagen.

According to Mahindra, the XUV.e range will be the lineup's first electric SUV to enter the Indian market. The start of production is scheduled for December 2024. By 2025, the BE series built on the INGLO platform will be available.

Mahindra BE-05

Mahindra did not disclose the car's precise specifications. Numerous parts of the MEB platform created by Volkswagen are shared by the INGLO platform created with the Volkswagen Group. It will receive high-density batteries and is the lightest skateboard platform currently available.

The new-age car will be future-ready and able to absorb new technology as necessary, according to the company. It has a heads-up display with augmented reality functionality, 5G network support, and over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. There will be edge-to-edge screens throughout the cabin.

Mahindra unveiled two concept iterations of its next electrified SUV. The RALL-E BE.05 and BE.05. The passenger cabins of both cars will have structural cages, and the frontal design of the automobile will be improved with three load routes and a multi-piece dash panel with reinforcement. The electric SUV will also have a 5-Radar-1-Vision ADAS design, and L2+ autonomy will be an option.

According to initial observations, the vehicle will face off against the Nexon EV. Mahindra hasn't formally mentioned any rivals, though. The future SUV's RALL-E version can compete with the Nexon EV Max version.

Mahindra XUV.e8

This will be the company's first electric SUV to enter production. It will be available in India starting in December 2024. The new vehicle will be built on the INGLO platform, a modular platform developed by Mahindra Born Electric that will serve as the foundation for many of the company's next electric vehicles.

With the XUV.e8, Mahindra will utilise an 80kWh battery pack. Its power output will be between 230 PS and 350 PS. There are still some unknowns regarding the powertrain.

Mahindra XUV.e9

In 2025, the brand-new XUV.e9 electric SUV will hit the market. The XUV Aero Concept serves as a design model for the XUV.e9. The XUV.e9 is even longer than the XUV.e8 thanks to its coupe-like shape. It has five seats and a 2,775mm-long, incredibly long wheelbase.
