New Delhi : Mahindra and Mahindra will be launching a refreshed version of their successful SUV XUV 500 on Wednesday (April 18). The car had been struggling to fetch buyers due to other new launches of cars in the SUV segment.

The company is looking to refresh the game with a brand new version of the car. Let's find out what all has been changed in the new car.

Exteriors: Speculating as per spy pictures circulating over the internet, the car gets new front grill and new taillamps. LED daytime running headlights have been added to the projector headlamps.

Interiors: The infotainment system has been upgraded with added smartwatch and Bluetooth. It is also likely to have new tech features like Andriod Auto, Connected Apps, Ecosense and Emergency call.

Engine: Mahindra and Mahindra will offer XUV 500 in both petrol and diesel variants. It is likely to get a new powerful motor 2.2-litre diesel that will churn out 170 hp. As per reports, XUV500 G9 petrol AT variant, which will be powered by 2.2 litres mated with a 6-speed automatic, will also be launched.

Price: It is expected that buyers will have to shell out Rs 30,000 more to get the refreshed version of XUV500.

The outgoing model has been priced between Rs 12.78 lakh and Rs 17.87 lakh. Moreover, the petrol version will somewhere sit between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 16 lakh.

Variant: Similar to Mahindra Scorpio, the XUV500 will get upgraded variant names like W5, W7, W9 and W11 with a different range of features and engine options.
