Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition: Maruti Prices slashed, Thunder Edition launched at Rs 10.74 Lakh

Delhi : The much-awaited Jimny was introduced by Maruti Suzuki in May of this year. Prices for the 5-door Jimny start at Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom), which is considered too expensive for a subcompact SUV. In light of this, the business has introduced a new, more reasonably priced Jimny model.

This is a limited-edition Jimny vehicle known as Thunder Edition; ex-showroom pricing start at Rs 10.74 lakh and go up to Rs 14.05 lakh. All four of Jimny's model lineup have the Thunder Edition available, and it will only be on sale through December 2023. 

Engine of the Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition

The Jimny Thunder Edition's engine specifications are as predicted. A 1.5-liter K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 104 horsepower and 134 Nm of peak torque powers it. Either a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual gearbox is mated to this unit. A 4x4 drivetrain with a low-range transmission is included with all models.

Features & Prices of the Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition

To improve the looks, Maruti provides the Jimny Thunder Edition with a few extra basic equipment. Special body decals are a part of this. It also has garnishes on the ORVMs, hood, front and side fenders, and side door cladding in addition to a silver garnish on the front bumper and door visor.

An interior design upgrade that includes floor mats (different for manual and automatic versions) and a tan-finish steering wheel also adds some flair to the cabin furnishings. The cabin's interior layout and other equipment are unchanged. A 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, auto climate control, an electronic stability programme (ESP), a rear parking camera, and six airbags are just a few of the amenities it has.
