Maruti Suzuki launches Baleno RS in India domestic markets
New Delhi : India's largest car maker company Maruti Suzuki has stepped in the performance vehicle segment with introduction of Baleno RS in Indian domestic market.
Baleno RS has been powered with Maruti Suzuki's latest innovation 1.0 liter turbojet engine that generates 20% more power and 30% more torque than a regular 1.2 liter petrol engine.
The new Boosterjet engine is a powerful combination of two technologies – direct injection system and a turbo charger- which is the first from the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki.
Great power will be available at a great price too, the car has been priced at Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The car has been launched in only single variant - 'Alpha'.
“It marks our entry in another new segment sports high-performance segment, an upcoming new segment. Baleno Road Sport gives me an opportunity to explain our challenging spirit in creating technologies that are relevant for India,” said Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director Maruti Suzuki.
