New Delhi : The latest Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2020 petrol BS6 version will launch in India on August 5. The petrol version of the car was showcased in Auto Expo this year and it will go for sale from the next month.

The new version of Maruti S-Cross was expected to launch in early 2020 but amid pandemic crisis and lockdowns the launch was delayed by the company.

Select Maruti Suzuki dealerships have now started accepting unofficial bookings on the S-Cross petrol at a reservation amount of Rs 11,000.

The 2020 S-Cross petrol will be launched in four variants including Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

In terms of the exteriors, the car has been given minimalistic changes to keep up the feel and tone of the car. It will remain identical to the previous year model in terms of overall size and dimensions. Same goes for the interior with minor tweaks. It will feature a 7-inch Smartplay Studio 2.0 System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Smart Key with push button start, auto-folding ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, cruise control automatic climate control.

The major change is under the hood, where it will get the all-new petrol BS6 compliant 1.5-litre K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine. For reference, the same engine has been fitted in cars like Ciaz, XL6, Ertiga and Vitara Brezza.
