MG Comet EV: Specs, features and price starting at Rs 7.98 lakh
Delhi : MG Comet EV was introduced by MG Motor India today in India for an initial price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The second electric vehicle in MG Motor India's lineup is the MG Comet EV, which is built on the GSEV platform. According to the firm, reservations for the MG Comet EV will open on May 15, 2023. The Comet EV test drive will start on April 27.
MG Comet EV: Available colours
Apple Green with Black Roof, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Candy White, and Candy White with Black Roof are the five colour options for the MG Comet EV.
Measurements and Design of the MG Comet EV
The dimensions of the MG Comet EV are 2,974mm in length, 1,505mm in width, 1,631mm in height, and 2m010mm in wheelbase. The MG Comet EV features a curved tech body line, LED headlamps and taillamps, LED DRLs, an aero-craft cabin window in the second row, and 12-inch alloy wheels with DRLs. It was built with the idea of BICO—"Big Inside, Compact Outside." Additionally, it receives an LED strip that spans both the front and back of the EV.

With a 4-seater format with 50:50 splits in the second row, the MG Comet EV boasts a roomy interior. Future-looking controls are added to the multi-function two-spoke steering wheel of the Comet EV. The central console has practical features including wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, floating twin 10.25-inch panels for the infotainment system and an instrument cluster, electric window activation buttons, and a 12-Volt charging socket.
The built-in iSmart system offers 100+ voice commands and 55+ connected car features. The smart start system and digital Bluetooth Key with sharing functionality for up to two persons are two further special features of the MG Comet EV. Additionally, the passenger seat slides and reclines with only one touch. Three drive modes and three KERS settings are available for the MG Comet EV.
Details and range for the MG Comet EV
A single 17.3 KWh battery will power the MG Comet EV and provide an ARAI-certified range of about 230 kilometres on a single charge. The single PMS motor will have a maximum torque of 110 Nm and peak output of 41.4 hp. The battery can be fully charged in 7 hours and between 10 and 80 percent in 5 hours using a 3.3 kW charger.

Numerous safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS + EBD, front and rear three-point seat belts, a rear parking camera & sensor, TPMS (Indirect), and ISOFIX child seat, are available on the MG Comet EV.
Special Editions for the MG Comet EV
The Gamer Edition and the LIT Edition of the Comet EV are two further special editions of the device that MG has released. These Special Editions will provide a variety of personalization possibilities, including more than 250 decal and graphic variations.
