MG Hector records highest ever monthly sales in October
New Delhi : October 2020 has been one of the best months for MG Motors India as they have been able to generate highest sales for MG Hector. This has been one of the biggest sales haul for the SUVs since June 2019, i.e. the year in which they have made their first appearance in the Indian market. The sales generated in September 2020 were 2,410 units whereas in October, this figure went up to 3,750 units, making a breaking record! It means that automaker was able to increase their sales rate by 48% within a month which is highly commendable. In the initial launch price, there was a huge demand for these cars. Besides this, another model of MG Motors i.e. MG Gloster has also received appreciation in the market. When this model was initially launched, the automakers got a whooping number of bookings for this SUV.
Rakesh Sidana, the Sales director of the Company commented on the performance of MG hector saying that- ‘We have been able to register 48%growth within a month despite festive demand. Diwali is in November and we expect to continue to ramp up our supplies to fulfill the demands. We have also received a good acceptance for MD Gloster which has got 2000 bookings in the initial launch price’.

MG hector is giving tough competition to other brand models like Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV 500, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier to name a few. The Hector has been designed with some noteworthy features like TPMS; AI based online navigation, 360 degree camera, front parking sensors, and much more! Besides this, the model is packed with premium quality features like- panoramic sunroof, LED lightings, remote car operation, 10 inch infotainment system. This SUV is well-recognized because of their high-quality safety features like Vehicle Stability Management, TCS, ESP, and much more.
Besides this, the price of the model starts from Rs12.83 lakh to Rs17.89 lakh. Also, you can get them in four color options- Super, Smart, Style, and Sharp.
MG Motor- Future plans
Because the brand has already got a huge response and success from their brand offering MG Hector, the company is all set to expand their production by one lakh units by 2021. The MD and President of MG motors have said that-‘the future plans will be announced within the next few months. Currently, they are analyzing the market situations. But after receiving such applauding response for their two brand models, it is for sure that they’ll expand their scope by introducing new styles and products’.
The upcoming MG cars in 2021 are- MG RX5, MG G10, MG RC-6, MG 3, and MG Marvel X.
