Delhi : The newest model of Skoda's flagship sedan, the Superb, has been announced. The Skoda Superb of the latest generation has several design enhancements, interior changes, and an abundance of new features and technology.

Now running on the MQB EVO platform, the 2024 Skoda Superb is 43 mm longer than its predecessors. The new sedan's dimensions are 1,481 mm in height, 1,849 mm in width, and 4,912 mm in length. It shares the same 2,841 mm wheelbase as the previous model. In addition to offering increased head and leg room for both front and back passengers, the Superb's expanded dimensions also result in a slightly higher boot capacity of 645 liters (20 liters more than on the previous model).

In terms of features, the 2024 Superb now has the C-shaped LED tail lights, the new Skoda 2D logo, LED Matrix headlights, dark chrome grille surrounds, aero-optimized 16–19-inch wheels, and the 'SKODA' writing on the trunk.

Inside, the new Skoda Superb has a head-up display, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster, a 2-spoke steering wheel, and Skoda's "Smart Dials," which are three rotary dials on the center console that each have a small display that controls different features in the cabin. This covers seat heating and ventilation as well as temperature controls. In addition, the next generation Superb has 15W wireless charging, USB-C charging connections, a gear lever affixed to the steering column, and front seat massaging capabilities.

The 2024 Skoda Superb is also equipped with a tonne of safety technologies. Ten airbags, ADAS technology, intelligent park assist, driver attention and drowsiness help, and many more are among them. Additionally, the sedan sports an adjustable suspension system thanks to Skoda's Dynamic Chassis Control Plus.

The new Skoda Superb may be powered by a variety of gasoline, diesel, and hybrid engines. These consist of a 2.0-liter TSI and a 2.0-liter TDI, as well as a 1.5-liter TSI turbo-petrol with a 48V mild hybrid system. Four-wheel drive is also included with the top-of-the-line models, and all engine trim levels come with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard equipment.

Additionally, Skoda will sell the Superb as a plug-in hybrid, which has a 1.5-liter TSI engine and a 25.7-kWh lithium-ion battery. The range of the plug-in hybrid variant will be 100 kilometers on electricity alone. The Superb 'Combi' wagon variant will be the only vehicle to feature the plug-in hybrid drivetrain, though.
