Delhi : Hyundai, a South Korean automaker, is preparing to debut the next generation model of its popular sedan car, the Hyundai Verna, in the Indian market. For the first time, the firm has publicly revealed drawing images of this sedan car, which show the outside look of the car.

This car's official booking has already begun; interested clients can book it through the company's website and approved dealerships. According to the business, the new Verna is based on the brand's athletic design language, which was first seen in the new Tucson SUV.

How does the new Hyundai Verna perform?

The company has integrated several design aspects in this car, making it far superior to the previous model. It now has a full LED light bar with split headlamps connecting one edge to the other. The grille has been extended to cover the entire width of the vehicle. You might have seen something similar in Tucson.

Flared wheel arches have been added to this sedan, giving it a powerful appearance from the side. The car's appearance is enhanced by the attractive diamond cut alloy wheels. Although the corporation has not yet released images of its rear profile, it is expected to be decorated with fresh styling and design.

Performance and power:

The next generation Hyundai Verna will be powered by a 1.5-liter direct injection turbo-petrol engine with 160 horsepower. This engine will have a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). This engine will also be used in other Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

Aside from that, this automobile will be offered with a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, albeit with somewhat lower power output. This engine produces 115hp and will be combined with a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission. Both of these engines will meet new emission standards and run on E20 fuel.

What will the cost be:

Although it is difficult to predict the price of this car before its release, it is expected to cost increase around Rs 1 lakh more than the existing model. When it hits the market, it will primarily compete with vehicles such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and the facelifted Honda City. The company will formally introduce this car for sale on March 21, and its costs will be published at the same time.
